As a parent you are well aware of the amount of homework your child has to complete each day. What you may not be aware of is just how much their backpack weighs with all those books and papers in it. An eighty-five pound child with just five books could easily be carrying a load equivalent to 1/4 of his or her body weight! The American Chiropractic Association recommends the backpack weigh no more than 1/10 of your child’s weight.
